Executive Summary
Dry and mild across Porto today, roughly 15 to 24 degrees under a partly cloudy sky with essentially no chance of rain. Not a single warning type sits above green for the distrito do Porto — and none is forecast into the weekend either.
Four things compete for the evening. Diogo Andrade plays free in the Casa da Música café, the Freixo power station hosts the last midweek night of the performing-arts meeting 26 VOLTS, the Serralves park lights up again from half past eight, and the Hospitalários medieval fair at the Mosteiro de Leça do Balio runs to midnight under the theme “A Fé e o Testamento”.
Transport is largely running to plan, with two persistent gaps: the lift at Casa da Música metro station stays out of service into early October, and the Funicular dos Guindais is closed with no reopening date. Transport & Logistics
Metro on tight headways, one lift and one funicular closed, a bus line diverted, train bars on strike.
Metro
Metro do Porto reports normal operation on the reinforced school and weekday timetable in place since 7 September. On the common trunk between Senhora da Hora and Estádio do Dragão, trains run about every 4 minutes from 07:00 to 20:00 in double units, then about every 5 minutes until 23:00. Line D peaks at roughly 4 minutes between Hospital São João and Santo Ovídio, and about 9 minutes onward to Vila d’Este. Airport line E runs about every 15 minutes in the peak windows, with lines A, C and F at about 12 minutes and line B at about 20.

The lift connecting the interior of Casa da Música station to the surface interchange has been out of service since 1 September and stays that way for about a month, into early October, while it is replaced and prepared for the future Rosa (G) and Rubi (H) lines. Only reduced-mobility passengers can reclaim a taxi or TVDE fare between Casa da Música and Francos or Trindade, in either direction, by sending an invoice and proof of condition to apoio.clientes@metrodoporto.pt.

Funicular
The Funicular dos Guindais between Ribeira and Batalha remains closed indefinitely while certification and safety checks run, with no reopening date announced. Between the riverside and Batalha that leaves the stairs or a longer way round.

STCP stays on its school-year “normal” bus timetable. Historic tram lines 1, 18 and 22 keep to their published patterns; check the live board for the last departures of the day.

Because of the medieval fair at Leça do Balio, line 505 (Hospital São João–Matosinhos Mercado) is diverted through Sunday 13 September: on weekdays from about 20:00 until end of service, and at weekends already from about 14:00. Expect temporary stops around the Mosteiro and Rua do Mosteiro.

Long-distance rail
Bar and catering staff on Alfa Pendular and Intercidades services have been on open-ended strike since 31 August, with adherence still reported at around 95% through 3 September. Trains are running, but most leave without an onboard café. Urban services into São Bento and Campanhã are unaffected.

No disruption
No tourist-area protest or Baixa/Ribeira road shutdown is verified for today. No unexpected closures turned up either: Clérigos, Livraria Lello, Serralves, Palácio da Bolsa, Sé, Soares dos Reis and Casa da Música are all open as usual.

Os Hospitalários
Os Hospitalários no Caminho de Santiago continues at the Mosteiro de Leça do Balio in Matosinhos until 13 September. Today’s theme is “A Fé e o Testamento” and the site is open 12:00 to 00:00. A day ticket costs €2, the six-day wristband €5, and children up to 1.30 m tall get in free.

Tonight
A free café concert, performing arts at Freixo, a knights’ procession, a light trail and four short films.
Casa da Música
In the Concertos no Café / Geração Casa series, Diogo Andrade plays at 21:30, free entry, rated M/6. Doors open 30 minutes beforehand; once the concert is underway there is no late entry except at intervals, and only when the room team allows it.

26 VOLTS
The international performing-arts meeting runs until 11 September at CRL – Central Elétrica, the former Central Termoelétrica do Freixo (CACE Cultural), rated M/16. Tonight is free, with tickets to collect on site from 19:00 and limited capacity: Vou Levantar-me e Morder um Figo by Ana de Oliveira e Silva and Dinis Duarte at 19:30, The Second Copy: 2045 by Youness Atbane at 21:00, and Orbital Gesture by Raul Maia at 22:30. The exhibition O Tecto at Atelier Caldeiras is listed 19:00 to 23:30, with a VOLTS retrospective also on site. Parking is free; outside there are cobbles and some ramps.

Leça do Balio
On the fair site the programme starts at noon under the theme “A Fé e o Testamento”. The afternoon highlight is O Testamento dos Peregrinos at 17:30. In the evening the knights’ and pilgrims’ procession sets off at 21:00, followed by the videomapping piece Onde a Cruz Permanece at 22:30 and the fire-and-dance show Pela voz de Leonor at 23:30. The site closes at midnight.

Serralves em Luz
The light trail through the park runs Wednesday to Sunday, tonight from about 20:30 to 00:00, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 01:00 through 14 September. A full ticket is €15, reduced €12, family and Amigos €11, and under-3s go free. No Serralves cinema session is listed for today.

Cinema
Batalha Centro de Cinema screens the Filmaporto Seleção Competitiva 2026 at 19:15. Tickets are free and picked up the same day, maximum two per person, rated M/12, with English subtitles. The programme is Ultravioleta by José Magro, Porto2000 by Matilde Camacho, Vermelhos do Asfalto by João Niza Ribeiro and Massa Mãe by Maria Novo, with the filmmakers presenting.

Free & low-cost
Nothing to pay tonight for Diogo Andrade at the Casa da Música café at 21:30, for the 26 VOLTS performances and exhibitions at Freixo (tickets from 19:00), or for the Filmaporto competitive shorts at Batalha at 19:15. The cheapest paid option is the Hospitalários day ticket at €2, with children up to 1.30 m free.

The weekend
On Friday and Saturday the Hospitalários fair stays open until 01:00, and CP runs a special return urban train at 00:20 on the Leça do Balio–Campanhã corridor; the €3 special return ticket is also valid on Porto urban lines during the fair. 26 VOLTS closes on Friday night at Freixo with a final programme from 19:30, including HHY & the Kampala Unit at 23:30.

Serralves em Luz lists guided nights on Friday and Saturday, 11 and 12 September. Saturday brings D. Fernando’s arrival at the fair, and Sunday afternoon a wedding reenactment, with the site closing at 22:00. Sigur Rós play Coliseu Porto Ageas on Sunday 13 September at 21:00, doors 20:00 — listed as sold out. Teatro Municipal do Porto then holds a free opening weekend on 18 and 19 September at the Rivoli and in public space.
